Akron Falls is not a long hike -- less than a 2 mile hike to circle the entire park -- but it is a very pretty area in the middle of the Village of Akron. When we went, in mid-July, we shared the park with many families on picnics.

There are 2 falls -- Upper Falls and Lower Falls -- which are formed by Murder Creek dropping over the Onondaga Escarpment. Upper Falls is pictured here. Since it was the middle of summer, the water flow was very light. There is a cave behind Upper Falls, but we didn't check it out.

Lower Falls was completely dry on this day, however. I've heard the falls are a bit more impressive in the Spring.
