Olmsted's South Park, Buffalo NY

Going to the Buffalo Botanical Gardens is more than a pretty walk in the park, it's also a history lesson. Besides the recently renovated historic dome, the Gardens is set in the South Park of Olmsted's Parks. Frederick Law Olmsted (the same guy who created New York City's Central Park) was a famous landscape designer who was hired in the late 1860s to create a park system throughout the whole city.
