Emery Park in South Wales on Western New York Hikes

On an unseasonably warm day in February 2000, we took Max for a walk in Emery Park, South Wales NY. Although we couldn't find any hiking trails, we enjoyed the beauty of the park via its network of paved roads. Pushing Max in the stroller made this an easy 2 mile walk.

Emery Park is great in the winter. The southern end has extensive snowmobile trails. The northern part of the park(north of emery rd.) is used by cross country skiiers and snowshoers.

Directions to Emery Park: 2084 Emery Rd, South Wales, NY 14139. Take HWY 400 South to HWY 16 + 400 (Aurora Expressway). Continue on HWY 16 (Olean Rd) for about 1/2 mile, then turn right onto Emery Road. Emery Park is about one mile down.
