10/97. While on a weekend getaway at Peek n' Peak on Findley Lake, we decided to go for a scenic drive. We opened a map and I noticed a peninsula jutting from Erie PA into Lake Erie. Deciding to explore, we ended up at Presque Isle State Park! Interestingly enough, wind and water are slowly shifting the 3200 acre isle eastward. Sand and gravel have been deposited in one area in particular, Gull Point, which has resulted in an extremely fragile ecosystem. The park has 13 miles of hiking trails. We chose the North Pier trail, a short walk along the shoreline. For more information, contact: Presque

We thought these floating houses were really odd.
