If you're ever near Ithaca, be sure to stop and see Taughannock Falls. Signs along Route 89 point the way to an overlook. At 55 feet higher than Niagara Falls, it is quite an amazing sight. There are 5 miles of hiking trails and a camping area.

Directions: From the New York State Thruway, take Exit 41 to 318 East for 4 miles. Head South on Route 89 for 35 miles.
